Gentlemen,

See below.  This is a general problem with the 1803 version upgrade.  It has broken all kinds of audio drivers.  If you have Win 10 Pro most sites recommend suspending the upgrade.  If you are using Home addition you are out of luck as far a suspending the upgrade goes as there is no way to take control of the process.  

Hopefully Microsoft will get a patch out very quickly for this.  Don't know the motivation, wonder if it had to do with all of the reports of apps turning on microphones to in essence spy on folks.  And the baby went out with the bath water......

I do not use Windows 10 due to reasons such as the problems here with
"upgrades" but looking at a friend's PC for him yesterday who had
USB audio issues I saw Microsoft had allowed the upgrade to modify his
microphone setting, which may not actually be being used as a
microphone in some applications....

Try going to settings/privacy/microphone and set for "allow applications to
access your microphone"
