Hey everybody,As we finish off our Dayton Hamvention planning and preparations let's also start planning for June qso party at Bob's.
Will have the regular four stations up plus it looks like we'll have potentially 222 megahertz EME for the first time ever.
So let's start finding out who's going to be able to be there and what times you'll be so Bob can assign beds. Please reply toe and Bob with your times available and sleeping needs.
(Bob, I plan to probably come up Friday and will likely leave Monday if that is ok with you... And I do not think I snore any longer so you can consider that in bed assignments.)
We will meet as usual Saturday at rooster's about 1130 before the contest and we will plan a work day between now and then to make sure all the antennas and stations ready to go if needed. ( spoiler alert: we'll need one.
Some trailers need position adjustments.)
I'll discuss with Bob this weekend at Dayton what work day would work for him and we'll start planning the get to stations all in place.
The shake out test of N1MM software went well. The user interface is not hard to adapt from writelowe need to define the "final update point" to get all PC's ready for the contest. Hopefully we can load the latest as of Friday before the contest? (That might be to close to contest start, but I'll discuss with band captains in separate email.)
N1MM seems considerably less affected by different versions of windows and the network computers were all visible really quickly as compared to writelog which seems to take significant time to get the network settlehopefully, the adif file will not completly explode my brain. I doubt I will do as good a job as previous since I have less knowledge of the callsigns)
I'll follow up as needed, and look forward to seeing folks at Dayton.
Best,
El prez (but not de la vida...)
