While discussing electronics parts
sourcing, for those that used to be mail order MCM customers (Dayton, Oh), you
may or may not know that MCM was merged with Newark Electronics back in the
fall of 2017.
The merging of the MCM customer base (and
open accounts) was rumored to also be occurring. It now appears from what I
read that Newark DID NOT carry forward and merge that customer database. So….if

everyone. FYI, RadioShack is back sorta. They have cut a deal with
HobbyTown to carry some RadioShack product in their stores. See the email
below. I went by the HobbyTown in Buford today. Sign on the door
saying RadioShack here now. Went in and looked around. They have a
limited selection of some parts, wire, etc. The store manager said that
more stuff would be coming in. So the next time you need a resistor,
capacitor, LED, rectifier diode, hookup wire, etc. and can’t wait
for two days to order it from Amazon check to see if there is a HobbyTown near
you. They might have what you need.
