through Sunday

Good afternoon,
Overview --
Several rounds of showers and thunderstorms will affect north and central
Georgia through Sunday evening. While the overall severe threat remains
low - with respect to coverage and magnitude of severe weather -
conditions are still favorable for localized areas of damaging winds, hail up
to 1", heavy rainfall and frequent cloud to ground lightning.
NOTE: The severe threat across the area could
ramp up late tonight into Sunday as stronger winds aloft interact with more
organized disturbances kicking across the area ahead of the main
"front". The area remains under a MARGINAL to SLIGHT severe
weather risk (Level 1 - 2 out of 5 from SPC) - see graphics below.
Primary Storm Threats & Impacts --
NOTE: Can't rule out a brief tornado
with this event but conditions are not very favorable for tornadoes with this
system
