Please bring your 70cm HT to listen to the voice beacon at 432.500 MHz.
We may need you to talk to the public, or to the press, and show them how
you track balloons traveling in the stratosphere.
The Fairgrounds will be packed with activities, food trucks and bands.
They expect a large crowd. Be sure to allow extra time for parking.
Our first iteration of path prediction indicated that the large ~8 ft latex balloon will burst at 103,000 feet,
and descend at about 2 meters/second and land somewhere near Alpharetta.
But - due to incoming weather, we have to wait until morning to update our flight prediction.
We will send out another email alert providing information to anyone who wants to hunt for the ballon once it lands.
The small 36 inch balloon should just go up, and head toward Cuba, and beyond.
If you can commit to being at the Cumming Fairgrounds, near the
Rodeo Arena and the Dunk Tank at 11:30 tomorrow morning, please reply with an email,
