Its so good to hear from you Jerry. If you (or any of yins guys) send me a text when you spot the kids on PJ2Y, they might be able to ask other stations to stand by and call you.

Jack came here  as an 11 year old boy too polite for the terse verbiage and style required by contesting.  But after 72 hours of creating pile-ups, he’s just as pleasant as a boy, but he’s speeded up his delivery.  You can hear that he can go toe-to-toe with any big gun, anywhere.

I recognize that lot of the success of Jack and Audrey is due in part to keeping company with trusted friends with lots of knowledge and a kindly Elmer manner with my kids.

73 to you all,

Tom,

I’m in Southern California this week on vacation.  I rigged up my KX2 with an EF 20/40 meter antenna, sloping from a tree.  Last night (Tuesday, approx. 5:30 Pacific time until about 7:00) I could hear both Audrey (7 meters) and Jack (20 meters).

I tried for an hour to make contact with Audrey, she had a nice signal into Oceanside.  I just did not have enough umph (10watts max) to make it through the noise.  20 meters was too light, and I knew there was no way I could make that trip with my QRP setup with the activity I could hear on my end trying for Jack.

Give them both my regards, they are doing a GREAT job working DX.

73 & Good DX,
W5TDY - Jerry
