Hi folks,
THe kids at Whitlow Elementary are focused on weather science.
Audrey KM4BUN has been invited to Whitlow Elementary to lecture on

The event starts in the school at 11:30 Thursday 19 December, and the launch will be near noon.
Audrey's calculations say that the balloon will settle at about 28,000 feet.
If it clears the trees, it may stay aloft for hours, or days.
Please pray for "Fair winds and following seas" !

The packets sent out on an APRS frequency as a function of location.
As long as it stays in US air space, it will beacon telemetry at 144.390 MHz.
Launch site location is:
Latitude: 34.1863713 / 34° 11' 10" N
Longitude: -84.1624734 / 84° 9' 44" W
Grid: EM74we

The goal is to show 200 kids that Ham Radio has modern,
efficient digital modes that appeal to kids who grew up in the digital internet world.

You can see it all happen on www.aprs.fi and insert Jack's callsign KM4ZIA with a -1 suffix.
See the screen captures for usage examples.
