Hi folks,
You might know Audrey, KM4BUN.
For her summer vacation between 11th and 12th grade, she was invited to be a scholar at the Summer Science Institute presented by the Auburn COSAM (College of Sciences and Mathematics).
http://www.auburn.edu/cosam/departments/outreach/programs/SSI/index.htm
She loved the physics and quantum chemistry classes, and she loved Auburn.

She only had a few days to unpack, and re-pack to be a scholar at  the GHP (Georgia Governor's Honors Program)   https://gosa.georgia.gov/governors-honors-program
held at Berry College.

I tell you this not to boast, but to let you know that Audrey used Amateur Radio as her lever to gain admission to some of the most coveted programs in the country.  And it worked !!

She endured numerous, rigorous interviews over several months, and had to convince academics  who may, or may not have known of Amateur Radio, that what she achieves in academics is brought to life by what she does as a hobby.  You can bet that they know and respect Amateur Radio now after meeting Audrey!

She's back in highschool now, up to her eyeballs in Calculus 3 and her other STEM studies, but she's still volunteering to promote ham radio.

Once again, she's been asked to be a moderator for the QSO Today Virtual Ham Expo.

So please consider registering for the event.
https://www.qsotodayhamexpo.com/

It starts on August 14th, at 00:01:00 UTC.
Register earlier, it's easier.

Registering shows that you believe that ham radio is worth supporting, and that a few dollars in registration fees will provide incentive to repeat the event next year, and keep ham radio current, and in the spotlight for the next generation.

The organizers have been gathering us together to exchange ideas, and have been  promoting ham radio to the world in a way that no other entity has ever done.

We hope that SARA, NFARL, GARS, Fourlanders and ARC members can join Audrey.  Watch for her in the forums!
