Looking at moon conditions, it seems to not be a good weekend. Declination will be more than -20 degrees and new moon is on the 18th-19th. I doubt there will be much activity or stuff to be worked that way.

If you want to see the charts, look at https://mmmonvhf.de/eme.php , change the month to January and year to 2026.

Regardless, I will be planning to be there for the whole weekend. I'd like to try with my EME setup (902,1296.2304) even with the poor conditions. A lot of this will depend on weather. It should play well terrestrially from NNE to S or SSW.

Cheers All,
Brian

First notice.  January VHF contest.  W4NH at W4ZST.  Jan 17-19th 2026.

The usual Multi-op effort and set-up here.  6m, 2m, 222, 432, 902, 1296 and 2304.  I'm going to make sure everything is working well before!!  I haven't looked at the EME possibilities but if there are good moon passes we will surely give it a try too.

Let me know if you want to come operate, visit or just mooch off our good food!!  We always welcome our visitors.  If you haven't seen a contest, this one is pretty mild and not so intimidating as some are.

First come, first served on bed space.  There is room for campers too and we've had a couple before.  And room for those with camping cots in the heated house too!

Hoping Kim will bring his 24 GHz and we can make a few more 24 GHz Q's here.  It was fun last time and a first for us on that band.  We'll try to make some 5 and 10 GHz too.  Anyone with capabilities on those bands, bring your station if it's portable.

Enough to get things kicked off for the contest.  Let me know.

73, Bob
