Below is part of the obituary for my Great-Grandmother, she was married to
Ollie King Hooper (WILLIAM CLEVELAND6, JOSEPH MARION5, JOHN CLEVELAND4,
OBEDIAH3, RICHARD BROOKS2, OBEDIAH1)
Marie was born on 11\4\1907 as Albertina Marie Beck. She was on of seven
children, six of whom celebrated 50th wedding anniversaries. Marie was
married to Ollie King (O K) Hooper for 54 years and lived in Oak Cliff,
Texas for more than 50 years.
Marie worked as a seamstress for many years retiring at 82 when the dress
manufacturing plant closed. She was a member of the Skyline Heights Baptist
Church and the Calvary Baptist Homebound. In recent years, she lived with
her daughter, June Blevins, who was able to care fro her in the home till
her death on Friday 12/15/2000.
Marie and OK were the parents of four children, 14 grandchildren, 24
great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Marie was preceded in
death by daughter Louise Moorman, and on granddaughter, Elizabeth Moorman,
two brothers and two sisters. She is survived by sisters Doris Seyer of
Midland, TX and Hannah Davis of MA, daughter June Blevins, son Jerry Hooper
and daughter Glenda Payne.
Later today I will send the obit for William Cleveland Hooper from 1917 as
well as a picture of William Cleveland's 14 children.
