    You will find the Hooper name spelled in many different ways as
follows:

    Hooper
    Hopper
    Hope
    Cowpers
    Cooper
    Hoop
    Hoop Maker

    These are all different spelling of the Hooper name and should not
be left out in your search.

    Also when looking at tomb stones, to find a relative with a
different name make a drawing of the outside shape of the stone.  You
will find there were very few stone cutters and the shape will tell you
of one stone cutter cutting for several families.

I am a HOOPER and PHILLIPS searcher with a data base now ranging upwards
