I remembered the names were listed in Funeral Home records that I have:

MANCIL, Jesse Rodesphus 3-5-1898- 1-29-1982 Isaac Mancil Mary Hooper-
Farmer Sardis, San Augustine, Shelby County, TX and in marriage records
I find HOOPER, N. B.m. M. L. Mancil 9-3-1891 Record 2/273. I also, find
Mancil, James Obie 9-12-1895- 3-30-1983 James I. Mancil Mary E. Hooper -
ret farmer Old sardis, Shelby County, TX.

I believe N. B. Hooper is Napoleon Bonapart Hooper and although, he and
his descendants lived right next door to my Hooper ancestors, we have
not been able to connect him with our family. I received some
information some time ago from Ron Hooper showing that N. B. Hooper
descended from Dr. Enos C. Hooper b. December 6, 1796 in Pendleton
District, South Carolina m. Polly Monroe, This record shows that
Napoleon B. Hooper (aka Nimrod) b. abt 1846 in Tennessee.

By copy of this to Hooper research groups, I am asking that they contact
you if they have any infromation on this family. Deanna Hooper Baumgardner
