Hello all,

There are couple of new developments in the DNA project. These are mostly for
those with DNA results already.
Our testing company has added 12 new markers to their Y-DNA offering. This
should allow further delineation of lines with several participants. Also if you
have found near matches with others and the validity of the match is
questionable this will give you more evidence to support or refute the connection.
Also a new database has been started. The database is called Y-Search. It is
a free public database that anyone with Y-DNA results can use. There are
several different DNA testing companies including several in Europe. The purpose of
this database is to allow people to share their results regardless of which
company they use for testing.
You can find out more about both of these items by visiting your personal DNA
webpage.
Those of you who don't have test results but are interested can go to
http://www.familytreedna.com and read the latest newsletter.
Take care and have a terrific holiday season.
