[Hooper] Hooper Reunion July 19 at Hiawassee, Georgia Update

Hello All,

I want to remind everyone that the Hooper reunion will be held at the Senior 
Citizen Center in downtown Hiawassee this year and not at the fairgrounds. 

There will be a 24 marker DNA test given away to a lucky person attending the 
reunion that can provide a Hooper male descendant to take the test. The test 
was personally donated by Wade Glascock, a founding member of the DNA 
committee. There will be a DNA presentation made to bring family members up to date on 
the testing results and how to get involved. 

If your interested in joining the SAR or DAR, there will be members of these 
organizations there to give a presentation and answer questions. 

Jerry Taylor is in the process of reprinting the Towns County, Georgia family 
history book, Hearthstone of Home. Orders for this book can be taken at the 
reunion.
