Hello all,

We would like to remind everyone that funding is available for those wishing
to join the Hooper DNA project. In order to participate directly (by having
your DNA tested) you must be a male with an unbroken male only Hooper line.
Essentially men with the last name of Hooper. Getting funding for a test is easy.
You can send an e-mail to me or to anyone you may know of that is involved in
the Hooper project. To find out if you know anyone with a close involvement
with the project go to http://hooperconnections.com/donorlist.html Anyone on
the list will be able to help get you started. Your e-mail doesn't have to be
anything fancy. Just tell us about your Hooper ancestors. You very well may get
a free test.
Some of you may be a bit leary of whether DNA can really help in your
genealogy. Our family project has already broken through a number of brickwalls that
folks have been trying to solve for decades. It's easy for families to become
disconnected after a few generations. Paper records are easily lost or
destroyed. Your DNA is a record that can never be destroyed and will always point you
to your genetic kin.
I urge all of you to study the information on the Hooper family website and
follow the links to the results sections. The starting page is
http://hooperconnections.com/dnaintro.html
I hope to hear from you soon.
