[Hooper] Book Reprint and Hooper List Update

Jerry sent me an e-mail saying that he has a few copies of the reprinted Hearthstones from Home, Towns County, Georgia History books left. This book has been sought after by many people since it was first published by Jerry in 1983. It contains many family histories descended from Absalom Hooper's line. As many of the persons on this list know, this Hooper reflector (list) is probably the oldest running Hooper research list on the Internet and was provided by a ham radio friend of mine, Bill Fisher, at no cost. A few weeks back Bill passed away. Bill's death was unexpected so no provisions were made as to the business. Bill was the ISP owner and provide Internet service to many companies and institutions at multiple locations around the USA. At this point, I plan to keep the list going until someone takes charge of Bill's business and makes changes. The last time I looked, we had about 117 subscribers. The DNA research has brought many new subscribers and other Hooper list has allowed many researches to focus on a particular branch of Hoopers. This list has always been available to any Hooper researcher around the world that wanted to find their roots or make connections to other Hooper lines.  

I would like to see someone else take my place as list owner and keep the list going. There maybe other ISP connections available to this group that can offer this service at a low cost. Any suggestions? Please post your response to the list for discussion.
