5. Jeremiah "Jerry" Sullivan(t) was born about 1786 in North Carolina,
and died November 24, 1869 in Lincoln County, Tennessee. He married
Lucinda Hooper on November 30, 1808 in Davidson County, Tennessee,
daughter of Churchill Hooper. She was born 1788 in Wilkes County,
Georgia, and died October 18, 1852 in Lincoln County, Tennessee.

Notes: Jeremiah received a land grant of 20 acres in Wilson County,
Tennessee in 1817. And according to family tradition, he bought 320
acres on Gimlet Creek for a pocketknife.

The 1850 agricultural census of Lincoln County noted that Jeremiah had
20 acres of improved land and 30 acres of unimproved land. These lands
were valued at $150. He also had 1 horse, 2 milk cows, 2 oxen, 1 sheep,
and 30 swine. These animals were valued at $129. Jeremiah also raised
256 bushels of Indian corn, and he produced 50 pounds of wool.
