Dear Sarah Widener,

I came across your letter concerning the McClures, etc, where you made mention of an Andrew Jackson Evans, possible son of John B. Evans, Jr. and Sarah Etter Moore.  I am researching my great grandfather Andrew Jackson Evans,  who was born in 1828 in Kentucky and died in 1894 in Scotland County, Missouri.  He married Susan Flynn in Scott County, Illinois in August 1848.  As I am writing this, I'm thinking that the years don't match up, but I will send this along to see if you have any information that will help me find my Andrew Jackson Evans' parents, etc.  There is always a possiblity that there is a relationship, given the way in which many people named their children after relatives.  I would be glad to add any information that I could to your search if there was a link-up here.

Also, I have a great grandmother, Margaret Campbell Moore, who was born in Virginia in 1800 and died in Scotland County, Missouri, in 1869.  She was married to John McAllister, Jr., but was on the maternal side of my mother's family.  Andrew Jackson Evans is on the paternal side of my mother's family.
