Hi there Kerryn,
My name is Pauline Ford and my Thomas Hooper came from Cornwall to Fryers town near Castlemaine 
He Was married to Eliza Skewes and they had 8 children only three of them born in Australia my G Grandfather being the youngest born 1866 the year Eliza died. Thomas was only 7months old when his mother died he married Eliza Webber and they had 3 boys Thomas died aged 6 of whooping cough, Herbert and John my grand father who was born after his father was killed in a railway accident in 1894, He married Irene Pearl Harrison at Kialla and they had 4 daughters june and judith twins, may and Irene. my mum is June. Does any of this match eith your info i have Elizas death cert and it lists all of her children James, Richard, Mary ann. Bessie dec and Bessie (Elizabeth) Norman Thomas  and one other that i cant think of right now.
