     Hello!

Test results for #65540 returned a 12 point match for Obadiah Sr. There's a possibility of an Eastern NC Hooper- Obadiah Sr. genetic link that would make Obie's earliest ancestors arriving in the Oakracoke Isl. - Outer Banks NC area. Please contact Terria Baynor if you know of anything that would help with this research.

I've got an SAR/DAR question involving Thomas Hooper; Obie's 3rd born child. Thos. Hooper is listed in "Contienental Regiments [@] 26 AA-275, 2803 & 3069." Can someone help me get this properly registered with SAR/DAR?

Here is my descent from Obadiah Hooper, Sr.:

     Obadiah Hooper Sr.

Thomas Hooper: Obadiah's 3rd child after Mary & James. b. 1747-48 prob. Hanover County VA.

AA-275, 2803 & 3069.

William Hooper: b. 1770-80 d. before 1829 prob. Greeneville, SC - 96th Dist. m. Susannah Harrison 1808. The will of John Harrison names Dau. Susannah Hooper.

Thomas Hooper: b.5/2/1802 prob. SC, d. 1879 GA. m. Mary Herren (b. 7/10/1812 - d. 1884) on 10/05/1829. Their first child, Christian Hooper (b&d 3/17/1835) is buried in the family graveyard overlooking the Chattahoochee River in Cobb County. See: Official Atlas of the Civil War, Vol. I, Plate LX.

James Fred Hooper: b. 1846 Cobb, County GA d. 1924 in the Old Confederate Soldiers Home,
DeKalb County GA. m. Sarah W. Alsobrook (d. 8/1915 Cullman AL) James operated a general store in Buckhead with his sister, Mary Hooper-Bolling.

Thomas Wilson Hooper: b. 1871 Cobb County GA d. 12/07/1948, Atlanta. "TW" married Sarah A. Howell, Dau. of Maj. William Meredith Howell, CSA & J.W. Grand Lodge of AL #472.

Richard Lester Hooper: (USAF, Ret.) b. 9/21/20 Atlanta d. 1/28/02. m. Betty Elaine Burke 2/14/48.

     Michael Maurice Hooper b. 1951 m 2x no children.

There's me, a WWII decorated medic cousin, his son and his two grand-daughters left around here. It'd be a pleasure to hear from some kinfolk.

     Thanks

      mmh
