Quoting from the book, Hooper Genealogy, A Southern Branch by Flora  
Hooper Collier;
" Mrs. Eliza Earthman of GA sent an abstract of John Adams' Will in  
1955, then later Mary Key of Champaign, Ill. sent a photocopy of the  
Will, probated 1769, filed in Halifax Co. VA Will Book 1753-1772) p.  
270, names the following children:
William Adams			
John Adams
George Adams
Joshua Adams
Elizabeth Adams
Mary Adams
Martha Adams
Witnessed by Benjamin Dickson, Joshua Powell, Mark Milner (?), Edward  
Carmell (?)
Securities for Eleanor (Benjamin Dickson, Joshua Powell).
It would indicate that both Benjamin Dixon-Dickson and Joshua Powell  
had some importance in the family since they both served as witnesses  
of John Adams' Will and as securities for Eleanor".

Elizabeth Adams married Richard B. Hooper Richard B. (Obadiah 1) b.  
17 May 1756 on 13 January 1783  Halifax County, VA. She was the widow  
of Charles Word, Jr. d. in Battle of Kings Mountain 17 Oct 1781.
My records show the parents of Elizabeth Adams were John Adams b.  
1705 d. 1769 and Eleanor Powell b. 1724 d. 1772. I have no proof.

This appears to be the best connection that my files indicate.
