The following is part a reply that I received from Wade Glascock,
Hooper DNA Administrator.
"The DNA markers mutate independently of one another. If one mutates
then that doesn't affect the ones that come after it. I would say that
there is no doubt that the Obadiah and Thomas descendants are related.
How they are related can only be solved through traditional
genealogical research."
There is only one mutation between Obadiah Hooper and Thomas Hooper;
they are a perfect match except 23 DYS 464b difference of 17 versus 16
and then they match again for 25 markers.
For Obadiah Hooper descendants, this is all that I know about Thomas
Hooper; I have quite a bit of information on his descendants.
1. THOMAS1 HOOPER1 was born Bef. 1730 in Hanover, Virginia, and died
25 Sep 1788 in Hanover County, Virginia. He married UNITY. She was
born Bef. 1745 in Henrico or Hanover, Virginia, and died Bet. 1808 -
1815 in Virginia.
We should include Thomas Hooper in our research. I should mention
that he is not Thomas Hooper, The Surveyor who operated primarily in
Stafford County, Virginia and died bef. 18 Dec. 1724.
