We received the following good news this week.  The John May Cemetery has received it's Historic Texas Cemetery Designation.  Richard Hooper will also be honored at this cemetery.  Thanks for all the hard work especially from Heidi Martin , Reecie Stanley  and the Shelby County Historical Commission.
 
For personal reasons David Rose will no longer fulfill the position of president of our group.  Heidi Martin has volunteered to fill this vacancy.  If there is one of you who would be interested in this position please let us our Secretary Betty Burdick know at wbburdick at windstream.net.   If not, please send her your vote for Heidi.   We need one new member of the Board of Directors to replace Sarrah M. Amos, who has advised that she will not be able to serve.
