>> I've just noticed something which adds to the knowledge of the Hoopers who connect to James Hooper of early [1720s] Hanover County, VA and his son Thomas [who died ca 1788] in the same county. Thomas was survived for many years by his wife Mrs. Unity Hooper. She is known to have been the mother of sons William [d. Oct 1808 KY], Edmund [d. abt 1813/5 VA], and Jeremiah Hooper [alive 1821]; she is also almost certainly the mother of Mrs. Judith Thurmon [b. 1750-60 Cold Harbor, Virginia; d. April 1847] and at least one other daughter.
>> Here is my new discovery - at least, it's new to me - that I want to share, from a card file at the Virginia Historical Society and provided online by familysearch:

>> Hooper, Eunity death record, citing the Virginia Argus (Richmond) of 29 July 1807:
>>
>> "Departed this life on Monday evening the 20th instant ... Mrs. Eunity Hooper of the county of Hanover, aged 73 years.
