[Hooper] Texas Historial Marker

At the January quarterly meeting last week, the commission approved 168 topics for the 2014 round of Official Texas Historical Markers.  Included was John May Cemetery (HTC), also, known as Hooper May Cemetery. This Cemetery is located in Shelby County , Texas where our ancestor, Richard Hooper (Obadiah, Jr., Obadiah) spent much of his adult life beginning in 1836. Richard and his wife,Isabella are interred there. A ceremony is planned for later in the year when this Marker will be placed at the Cemetery.
