Boring Amateur Radio Club
Dear OMs & YLs,.
Thanks for organizing Kids Day. My Granddaughter, who lives with us at
present, finds Amateur Radio interesting enough to talk to local club
members on my 2m mobile - but never saw any reason to talk to some
unknown adults on the HF rig. Talking to other kids was a bit
different.
The timing was perfect for her. Her birthday is Jan. 1, and this year
she had a visitor from Colorado, and two school friends who were still
here after a sleep-over for her birthday. All four of the kids (all
around 12 years old) got to talk, and even found some areas of interest
with the other operators. Conditions on both 20 and 10m were so good
that I am sure they didnt get a good feeling for how far away some of
the contacts were.
Below is the log of their combined contacts.

Not a lot of contacts, and Jake wasnt interested in talking on the
radio when the 3 girls were talking, but they all got a taste of Ham
Radio and enjoyed it.
73 and thanks again for organizing a great event
