Well, the Liberty Radio Explorers operation fell through due to a massive
snowstorm. We were scheduled to operate from the local elementary school
(by "local", I mean 11 miles from here....); the principal was planning to
drive 15 miles to open the building for us. With roads fast being closed,
it didn't make sense to put kids and their families at risk for the sake of
the event. Instead, my youngest daughter, Charlyn KB9JIZ was snowed in with
two of her cousins, Dan and Laura; so they put her call on the air for about
an hour. It was the cousins' first exposure to the hobby...hard to tell how
much of an impression it made. After the first two contacts, Laura (8),
wanted to do the CQing.

I'm compiling a list of the "under 21's" logged by reporting stations and
will post it in a couple of days so all of you can make
additions/corrections. So far, I'm THRILLED at the amount of activity
reported!!
