Hi Folks

Sorry for the late post. It looked like there were alot of stations on
for the event. 10M had many stations as did 20M.

The EVENT was basically shut-down on our end due to radial ice of up to
1/4 inch. The antennas couldn't turn....some still can't and they were
resonate someplace beside 10 and 20 meters. I kicked in the tuner but
it was not enough...the kids had a tough time working anyone. When not
trying to assist in the shack I was on a tractor attempting to dig out.

Chase - K9IG - About 4 QSO's. He really wanted to operate but with the
ice, it didn't pan out

Alyssa - KB9THU - Also around 4 Q's. She came in upset at one point
telling me that someone had told her to shut-up on 10 meters. It's
tough for a 9 year old to understand, but I tried to explain you have a
variety...good and weird..on the radio. She was also very frustrated in
that the big 10m yagi was not working to her satisfaction.

We did get on and it was great to hear the activity.

One commment from me :

I heard a couple of kids calling CQ CONTEST. Remember, this is an
OPERATING EVENT, not a contest. No pressure...just fun. Take your
time, work some kids and not hurry to the next QSO.

Hope everyone had fun and when I get the list of stations I will start
work on the certificates.
