The Boring, Oregon ARC has, without a doubt, flawlessly developed and =
implemented a program which has already demonstrated the potential of =
bringing "new blood" into our hobby! June, 1999 was Tecumseh Cub Scout =
Pack 276's first experience with Kids Day and the Cubs were eager to try =
thier hand at the mike when I told them that they had the ability (with =
2m) to talk to hams in our adjoining states (Kansas, Iowa, Missouri). =
Three of my Cubs, as well as my three year old daughter, Jordan, =
expressed interest in earning thier first ticket "in a couple of years", =
and this is what Kid's Day is all about, right? As the ARRL =
representative for our area as well as a responsible ham, I stand and =
salute the Boring, Oregon ARC for thier efforts with this very =
worthwhile program!
<the B.A.R.C. is blushing...>
