[kids] Kid's Day Log

The Peconic Amateur Radio Club set up a portable station at the local 
Strawberry Festival in the hopes of attracting a large number of kids.  While 
we did attract a fair amount of attention, the competition with the rides and 
other fair activities was stiff.  Those few kids who did actually get on the 
air had fun, but we had a difficult time getting through the pileups and QRM 
with our simple antennas (dipole on 20 and vertical on 10).  The most 
rewarding part for me personnaly was working with one 15-year old who hung 
around most of the day and will surely be a ham soon.  Kid's Day was a 
rewarding experience for all, and we will look forward to doing it again.  

Here is our log, but unfortunately we didn't record all the exchange data.  
The 20-meter contacts were made under call KG2BI and the 10-meter contact was 
under K1IMD.
