[kids] Kid's Day 2001

Hi. I am Alyssa. I am 11 years old and in 6th grade. I participated in Kid's
Day yesterday. I haven't yet got my license, so this gave me an opportunity
to make alot of contacts. I talked on a few different frequencies, but I
think I got the most people on 28.356, as you will see on my log book. One
gentleman I talked to (5K9AQ) was in a boat on the Amazon River. He was on
an expedition and had a special expedition call. They have a website,
http:\\www.amazonqueen.com. I talked to another gentleman in Nebraska, and
he owned a farm that raised icelandic sheep. You can go to
http:\\www.QRZ.com and look up WA1YOF. It has a link to his farm's website.
He has pictures of his llamas and sheep. I also talked to alot of kids, and
was getting alot of calls. I also got compliments of how good I was on air.
Alot of people also said I was very strong. I had a lot of fun on Kid's DAY,
but wish it had lasted longer.
