Cub Scout Pack 525 / Den 5 had their first introduction to ham radio
today.  After the initial fear of speaking into the microphone, most
were calling "CQ Kid's Day" with little difficulty.  We set up about
1800Z and took about 1/2 hour to hang a 10m dipole and ground-mount a
trap vertical and string some radials.  (Felt like field day in the
winter time).  About 2ft of snow on ground here in Minnesota made it a
little harder to make good connections but ended up working out great.
I sent a "QST" e-mail to my buddies: KAØC, WØIS and AGØI the day before
and they were there eager to help out with showing the kids the fine art
of operating.  Hope to do it again next year.
