I haven't been getting this reflector, so I don't know if this information
has be posted here or not, so here goes:
I think that Kids' Day is one of the best things to happen to ham radio in
decades and I nominated Tree, N7TR, for Ham of the Year at the Dayton
Hamvention, 2001.
If you agree with me that Tree deserves this honor, feel free to write the
Hamvention "seconding" this nomination. The info is on their website.
The Jan 2001 Kid's Day just ended and four of my grandchildren worked 44
stations, and the last call came from 5U7DG in central Africa who told my
grandson Max about the giraffes just outside his town.
Even if Max and his brothers and sisters don't become hams, they'll have good
feelings about the hobby.
73 all. Dave Bell, W6AQ
