What a grand time I had introducing my grandkids to ham radio. =20

Baylie is 13, and Davy is 10.  Both did a great job on the mike and both =
want to get their licenses.=20

Davy talked to quite a few Girl Scouts in Palmer, AK.  There were 1500 =
girls at the jamboree, and Davy must have talked to at least 50.  Thanks =
to KL7JFU, control operator 'Kent'.

We were operating portable at lake Cushman on the Olympic peninsula, =
about 40 miles NW of Olympia, WA.  Rig was an IC-746 and the antenna a =
G5RV.  The station was setup outside on a picnic table.  All QSO's were =
on 20 meters.  We had some visitors and most were amazed at what we were =
doing.
