[Kids] Kids Day, any thought about earlier times or explicitly encouraging digital modes ?

Dear Kids Day group,

This year we are planning for an HF station at a BIG area festival this 
year for Kids Day on 15m or 20m, perhaps even 10m. 

We'll have the station on the air beginning at about 0800 EDT (1200Z) on 
2003-06-21 and continue until well past official start of Kids Day at 1400 
EDT (1800Z). 

? Any thought to earlier times for official start of Kids Day ?  Festivals 
such as this in our usually hot climate for that day draw families and 
kids early few are still around by 1400 EDT.  We plan to fill out and hand 
out Kids Day certificates to participants prior to 1800Z, but will count 
those contacts and participants separately when we report our success this 
year.

? What about digital modes, and of course CW ?  The middle school and 
older kids here seem to be more fascinated by the digital modes than phone 
& CW. Particularly PSK31 which has a distinct "warble" audio pattern that 
one's ear can pick up.  Yes, so does CW, and we could use keyboard 
encode/decode of CW as well. But the frequencies encouraged are not 
commonly used for PSK31 or CW. Tx for comments.
