Subject: [NCCC] WX6V CQP Results - SOLP (Placer County)

Hi there,

For most of the weekend, I found myself to be the only station on from Placer County. Pleased to hear the grateful responses from many stations when I gave them my county name. A very fun weekend! Also see soapbox comments below. See y'all in SS.

Final Score = 140,049
Operating Time = 19:41 (off times shown in log)

Rigs : Icom IC-751a & Kenwood TS-120S (manual SO2R setup)
Antennas : Rotable Dipoles - 15 & 20, 2 element beam - 10,
           Inverted Vee @ 40' - 40, Inverted L - 80

Soapbox : Great contest conditions! I hope that we will be this lucky for
both weekends of SS. This was my best overall showing in CQP running both
LP (100 watts) along with basic antennas. Unfortunately, my off time included
missing the prime time hours of 5:30-10:00 Saturday evening for a church activity
that I could not miss. That pretty much blew my 40 meter run for the weekend and
my sweep as well (missed ND for the sweep). Last two mults worked were SC and SD.
I'm sure that most of you would be quite amused at my manually operated SO2R setup
using ancient radios with no computer support. Still - it worked out OK. Maybe the future
will bring along some up-to-date rigs into my shack. Used Andy's CQPWIN Version 9.2 for
logging which ran great all weekend. See y'all in SS from W6SR!
