The nominating committee is trying to get a slate of officers for 2005. 
When/if you get a call or email, please give some consideration to 
taking an office. Many of our members have 'put in the time', so we are 
in need of some 'new blood'.

The main job of the president is to preside over the meetings...normally 
the third Saturday of each month unless there is a contest. Sends a 
short article to 'Nugget' editor.

Vice president acts in the absence of the president. In addition, he/she 
is responsible for program at meetings. In the past, VP also acts as 
contest chair. Sends short article to 'Nugget' editor.

Secretary takes notes at meetings...there has been no correspondence so 
far this year. Minutes are sent to 'Nugget' editor.

Treasurer counts the few nickles MLDXCC has, writes the occasional check 
and curses the bank statements that may or may not agree with his/her 
balance. Sends monthly report to 'Nugget' editor.

Board members; one is past president, other is elected. Past president 
is on board to insure some degree of continuity. Other may have some 
expertise in a particular facet of contesting or DXing.

As with any organization, the time spent is up to you. Most 
communications are handled via our 'reflector', email or in a pinch, by 
telephone.
