[Mldxcc] K5JB - Joe Butler

For those that remember MLDXCC member Joe when he lived in Calaveras County
before retiring and moving back to Mississippi.

I just received the following news of long time DXer K5JB (ex - K5OS,
K6CAZ), Joe Butler of Ocean Springs, MS:

Joe and his wife Colleen evacuated their Ocean Springs home the day before
Hurricane Katrina made land fall 25 miles to the west.  They had the
presence of mind to drive EAST and rode out the storm in their car in the
parking lot of an all night gas station near Panama City, Florida.

Joe and his wife have since made their way to a family cabin near Monroe,
LA.  They are both doing fine but currently have no phone or e-mail service.
Their house sat at 15 feet above sea level and is believed to have been
destroyed.

Joe's son and daughter stayed behind in Ocean Springs and their status is
unknown.

For those that aren't familiar with Mississippi, Ocean Springs is a lovely
small community of excellent restaurants, museums, and parks between Biloxi
and Pascagoula at the mouth of Biloxi Bay.
