Here is a very sad situation in which your emergency communications
contacts ESPECIALLY in Southern California could be helpful.

A friend, Jim Gray, went out to the Farrallon Islands (27 miles west of
San Francisco) and never came back.  I attach the "missing" poster. The
drift patterns indicate that debris might go south to San Diego and
Mexico.

Is there any chance you ask EmComm operators to get into the maritime
amateur radio nets and put out an announcement to look for the vessel
"Tenacious" (40' red hull black mast) or, since we fear the worst,
debris?
