Greetings,
Here's this weekend's results from WX6V. When I signed up - I said that my participation would last about as long as I received no TVI complaints from my neighbor. I was hoping for good news, since there have been no complaints for the last 6 weeks. Well - I was only "2" QSOs into the contest when my phone rang. I explained that I was entered in a big "international radio contest" this weekend and asked for some indulgence. Fortunately - I got plenty and was able to still operate full-time until 12:30 Sunday afternoon. That's when NASCAR came on their TV and my contest ended.
Still - a personnal best score for me in this contest. Pretty decent conditions considering the high A index and the low SFI. By the way - my score really reflects the value of a good presence on 40 (or 80). While I have about 80 fewer QSOs on 40 than on 20, I scored 240 more points on 40 meters because of the plentiful 6-point QSOs (mostly from JA).
Thanks for the Qs. It was a fun weekend. Also was able to successfully incorporate the new Microham Keyer that I picked up in Dayton last weekend. A great tool!!
See ya in Field Day,
Jim -WX6V-
