I thought I had prepared my station for this year's contest season.  
The first thing I noticed was poor propagation.  
Then the power went off.  I checked with P, Gas, and E, and they 
said the power was out to 195 homes in our area.  It was off for 
4 hours or so.  
I played a bit (=small effort) after it came back on, but it was 
like pulling teeth to get a QSO on 20m.  After dinner, 40 and 80 
seemed pretty good, but then they died.
On Sunday morning I had a decent run on 20m which petered out after 
about 40 minutes.  I heard stations like K6XX and W6YX calling CQ a 
lot and not getting answers.  When they did get answers, I couldn't 
hear the stations they were working :-(
Then I noticed by computer clock was fast.  I set it back, so we'll 
see if I can handle some "rubber clocking" when I submit my log.
I checked 15 and 10 fairly frequently and heard nothing.  Then I 
heard 2 guys on 20 talking about how surprisingly good 15 was!  I 
went to 15 and had a good run there up until the party was over.
