I think the cover is more useful than you might think.  The gen will
typically sit all year collecting dust waiting for Field Day.  But
any engine accumulates a thin coating of oil on it, which acts as
a dust magnet.  So I think having the cover would be good "hygiene."

Also, if you are in this paradigm, be sure to run the gen dry after
Field Day is over.  You don't want old gas in it the next time you
start it up.  Possibly (I said possibly) old gas is responsible for
some of the leakage problems.  Yes, I know someone had that happen
new out of the box too.  Also wouldn't hurt to put in that gasoline
stabilizer stuff "Sta-Bil"(?) or whatever it's called.

With so many members buying these, I see opportunities to run pairs
of them in tandem for QRO.
