[Mldxcc] NCCC + PACIFICON 2010

At the NCCC meeting Monday evening special guest John Ronan (K3ZJJ)  
attended.  John is the current President of the Mt. Diablo ARC, which  
sponsors the annual PACIFICON convention here in the Bay Area.

Because of our good relationship with PACIFICON, we have been invited  
to participate once again at the convention this year.  NCCC has  
agreed to sponsor a 4 hour seminar entitled:  "Introduction To Amateur  
Radio Contesting" on Saturday morning, October 16 from 8 AM to 12  
Noon.  The purpose will be to introduce our world of contesting to  
attendees.

We'll also have a booth in the main Exhibit Hall, to help recruit new  
members and generally serve as a social gathering spot for all  
attendees, as it did in 2007, 2008, and 2009.

PACIFICON 2010 dates are October 15-17 at the San Ramon Marriott  
Hotel, San Ramon, CA.

John also mentioned that for the next two years, 2011 and 2012, the  
convention will be moving to the Santa Clara Marriott near Great  
America.  Good news for South Bay hams, and even more opportunities  
for NCCC.
