Nice to see you here, Chris. I like the contest idea. This is the kind of
contest our club should participate in.

Subject: [Mldxcc] good MLDCC contest to persue
Greetings Mother Lode, Why yes, I am a recent new member of the club! And I told
WC6H that I would try and participate more... now maybe.. just maybe the K6LRG
CQP score can go in for the club next year!
Last night I received the below mentioned award, and got to thinking, this and
the all asia would be fantastic contests for MLDXCC to persue. This 20m single
band effort last year from K6LRG (V 1.0 prior to antenna system upgrades) was
won in about 6 hours BIC time, and felled the NA continental record. NCCC
participation was fairly low. The all band was operated single op by N6ML @
N6RO. They have a multi-op entry category. JIDX does not seem to have a club
competition, but an old NCCC MO was to try and win as many (all) entry
categories from W6. Could be something the group may be interested in. There
are records here that are ready to be taken down! SSB is this weekend. could
be a good warmup and station shakedown for Sweepstakes.
Anyways, greetings to the club!

group to write a thank you letter to).
We had other club members pull additional lumber in this test for various effort
levels..
20 meters last year @ K6LRG station was not too difficult to win and secure the
20m North American continental record. basically point the beam to JA KB
Azimuth, call cq and run from band open to JA untill band closed and its done.I
seem to remember competition wise, the incumbent record holder was qrv trying to
retain it, cq'ing like crazy. Had me worried since I got a late start.
