Got on for a few hours to test the interaction between my tribander
and my newly acquired 40 meter rotary dipole, designed and
manufactured by W6SR at his well equipped factory in Placerville with
the additional expertise of N6JV. Both antennas seemed to work well
and I did not notice any interaction between them at the current
spacing. We will see how they react when I move the dipole up to 68'.
On 40, I was able to work anything from KL7 through VK with1 or 2
calls and I am very happy with that. Also worked a number of
Europeans well past their sunrise and actually worked more zones and
countries than 15 meters with half the QSOs. The biggest deal was
working JT5DX on 40 with one call, that made my weekend.

73,

Rick, W6RKC
