For those of you attending the MLDXCC Saturday lunch at Wimpy's Marina, here is some information that may help:
Wimpy's is on Thorton road. If you're coming from I-5, it will be on your right and sits on a levee. Parking should be tight but adequate. Car pool if at all possible. Here's the map:

Channel 3's transmitter guy has agreed to attend. Hopefully, we can buy lunch for him and the Channel 10 guy. I will be there to represent channels 13, 31, and 64. By far, the most impressive site is the tower that has channels 3, 29, 31, and 58 on it. This is the most difficult tower to get a tour of, so this tour will be a rare experience for some of you. The road to this tower is a 3 mile dirt road. No ground clearance issues, but lots of dust, so be prepared.
The Channels 10/13/64 tower is right in the center of Walnut Grove and involves a short dirt road. Again, no ground clearance problems, but I strongly advise car pooling.
All but one of the Walnut Grove towers are on stilts, due to flooding. This means stairs from the ground to the transmitter rooms. If stairs are an issue for anyone, just be advised. If you can't make it up the stairs, you can still gawk at the towers close up.
Any questions, please email me.
