[Mldxcc] 3D2C video clip

Bob, N6TV takes issue with my sarcasm. See below. He is correct that the
problems K6SRZ was having are most likely not caused by WinTest.
I didn't know it may be possible to minimize a program by accidentally
touching your touch-pad. I tried it on this netbook which was used for
logging (but not the one shown in the video), and can't make it do that,
but I suppose that depends on the specific machine and how it's
configured. Something to think about for the future.

Personally, WinTest worked OK for me. However, I still won't buy it until
it supports CQP and CWO. that's just my personal view.

Bobs' suggestion for using "real" full sized keyboards for an operation
like this is right on.

Right, and there's no way that WT will "minimize itself" with no operator
action and no RFI in the keyboard.

Watch the video closely, full screen, in high def (1080) mode, around 0:41.
His right palm is hovering, flat over the keyboard *and* the touch pad for
no reason, while his left hand is tuning the radio. He's not typing
anything.

If you tap the right place on a touch pad, it will minimize the active
window. This is why touch pads suck! They are too touchy! Touch pads are
easily disabled using the Windows Control Panel, or the custom
configuration software that comes with the laptop.

You should always have a mouse or trackball. Lenovo/IBM Thinkpads have a
Trackpoint joystick built in to the keyboard. But serious contesters bring
full lightweight external keyboards instead of using laptop keyboards,
which are too fatiguing and frustrating, especially since they all have
tiny function keys.

Did they all have touchpads?

*"The corners of the pad act as sensitive tap zones, and selecting them
runs specific shortcuts. For example, a touchpad shortcut can maximize or
minimize the current window."*

Personally I suspect the OS rather than WT, but I've not run into this

It's not the OS, or the logger. It's the touch pad shortcuts, nothing more.

Please be sure to copy everyone you sent the original too; it was a long
list.
