Bob,
Like yourself, i too have attended work related conventions, many of
which had way too much quantity and not enough quality. I found this to
not be the case with the DX/Contest forums.
I was able to attend both the Friday and Saturday sessions this year. I
found the forums to be both informative and applicable (I've not taken
that many pages of notes since college).
Also, the size difference at the convention center made for a first class
setting.
