Hi Bob,
I won't able to participate in the contest this time as I'll be at my
daughter's college graduation in San Luis Obispo.

Subject: [Mldxcc] ARRL 10 Meter Contest
Hello Mother Lode'ers!
Just a reminder that the ARRL 10 Meter Contest is this weekend.
It's a fun contest and it's a MLDXCC focus contest. Alan, AD6E, has
confirmed that the NCCC Board has agreed to let the regional clubs have this
one, so make sure you submit your log on behalf of MLDXCC.
Mults include US and Mexican states, Canadian Providences, and DXCC
countries (except for US, Canada and Mexico). Alaska and Hawaii count as
states.
You can work each station on both CW and Phone, with CW contacts worth more
than phone contacts. Don't let that scare you phone-only operators, because
the 10 meter phone band is just full of Technicians who just want to make a
contact. I guarantee that SSB Q's will be much more plentiful than CW Q's.
The is a 48 hour contest, starting at 0000 UTC, Saturday (4 PM Friday our
time) and going until 4 PM Sunday our time. This gives our members plenty
of time to participate in the contest while also dealing with family,
domestic duties or whatever. I know a few of us will be attending the El
Dorado ARC holiday party, but the band will be dead Saturday night, right?
I still plan to get a few hundred Q's under my belt.
So, try to get on and give the club 10 Q's, 2000 Q's or something in
between. All logs accepted!
Bob
