[Mldxcc] ARRL DX This Weekend

Hello MLDXCC'ers,

As Alan and Norm mentioned, this weekend is the ARRL SSB DX Contest.  Since this very popular worldwide contest is not one of the NCCC focus contests, please submit your score on behalf of MLDXCC if you operate.

The contest starts at 4 PM today (Friday) and ends at 4 PM on Sunday.  US and Canada work the world.  The world works US/Canada.  US/Canada DO NOT work each other.

It's a great weekend to work DX.  If you're just on collecting a few new DXCC entities, we'll take your points anyway!

By the way, I suggested to Jim, K6JS, president of the REDXA club, that we may want to do a rivalry thing between our two clubs in the future for ARRL DX and CQWW.  Perhaps even a cumulative score rivalry using a sum of each club's scores for ARRL DX CW/SSB and CQWW CW/SSB.  REDXA has some serious DX'ers, so this might be some fun for us in the future if both clubs agree.  There's a possibility of another medium sized contest club being created in the Bay Area, specifically to compete in non-NCCC contests, so adding this club to the rivalry could get real interesting.

I'll be on this weekend between spraying the property with Roundup and pruning in the vineyard.
